Ikea Run and the Unlined Roman Blind
At the first opportunity after the second lockdown we filled the Mini with diesel, put 70’s disco floor fillers on Spotify and off we went to Glasgow.
I had a plan. Fraser Suites, Kelvin Grove Museum, Crab Shakk and Ikea. Most of it went to plan.
I grew up not far from Glasgow in a town called Paisley and it always feels like home.

I stood in this…….
We arrived at Ikea, on the button of 10 am when it opens, this was the queue! By the time the doors actually opened in the queue was around the car park and starting to double back on itself!

To get this…..
I spotted this blue denim linen which was just what I was looking for. It was quite a stiff linen so perfect for what I had in mind……

To make this
…..which was an unlined roman blind for my new kitchen. This type of blind is perfect for rooms like kitchens and bathrooms where a heavier or blackout blind is not necessary. It’s nice how the light shines though when down but still affords privacy.
